Hello all,

Thanks to all who tried to help me but I failed to find a suitable VW in Greece after looking for over a month and so am off to the UK to collect one..1979 T2, 2 litre...and drive it back to Thessaloniki.....very excited to join you all soon.

I am a first time bus owner! Can anyone please advise if any essential spares are difficult to find in Greece and I should bring with me? Also it is lowered...too low and not practical for Greek roads I think . Can anyone tell me if there is some one near Thessaloniki that can raise it if needed? I think the original front spindles will come with it but will need rear spring plates I think. So I might be selling some Transpoterhaus lowered spindles if anyone is interested and Red9 coilover and spring set.

Hope to meet some of you soon. Sorry.... I still can't speak Greek

I arrived.....at last...story and picture to follow .......need a good VW mechanic (any recommendations?) in Thessaloniki area very soon to raise front.....very tiring looking out for every bump on the road especially Italy, terrible roads!

Thank you again for your help Guys and the mechanic information.....I very much hope to be ready for Meteora, the drive from the UK was quite tough, lots of jobs to be done now!
